About Timo van Wyk

Hello there, I'm the jeweller [soon to be Goldsmith]. I created this business because I developed a passion for making jewellery. My heart wasn't in craftsmanship in my childhood years until I discovered jewellery making. God just has a way to bring you to certain things when least expected.

When it became hard during lock down I asked [as every child in some point in life does] asked my parents "Did I make the right choice to become a goldsmith? Am I on the right path?" and that's when my dad came and told me something amazing...

When I become 1 year old [12months!] he received the scripture Exodus 31:3-5 which says "I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom and skill, in understanding and intelligence , in knowledge, and in all kinds of craftsmanship, to make artistic designs for work in gold, in silver, and in bronze, and in the cutting of stones for settings, and in the carving of wood, to work in all kinds of craftsmanship."

After that I was... speechless, and till today I'm still holding on to that scripture as a reminder that I'm on the right track and have a purpose in this direction. Do you know what's the best feeling for me in this industry? It's seeing a finished product that I've made being worn, but the best part is when it comes on to making wedding and engagement rings.
